According to former Wyndham councillor and local resident Aaron An, in the 2016-2020 term, Wyndham City Council identified a wide range of services that are either missing or need close attention for the Williams Landing community.

That includes:

  • Library Services
  • Community Activity Space
  • Family Services
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Middle Year Services
  • Youth Services
  • Government School
  • Arts and Culture
  • Aged care
  • Disability Services
  • Family Violence

These local services have been missing for Williams Landing since the beginning of the suburb (more than ten years now). During 2016-2020, Wyndham City Council identified the needs and business cases and the Williams Landing Library and Community Centre project was committed by Council in the 2018-2019 budget as a key project to address the above missing services.

Former Wyndham councillor Aaron An expressed mixed mode on local residents' Facebook group, stating, "At this moment, my mood is mixed and complicated:

  • Happy: after years of hard work, we finally had some basic services.
  • Sad: the project has shrunk significantly compared to the original plan council committed in the 2018/2019 annual budget. Some may use the pandemic as an excuse, but I believe investing in infrastructure is a way to help rebuild the economy."
